Waves of Venice

Waves of venice is the title of a performance. Small radiotransmitters were built in Venice, close to the „Canale Grande“ and put in round plastic bowls.

The bowl is placed in the water of the river that flows through the city. The radiotransmitter in the bowl is very weak. It catches the sounds of the water, passing boats and speaking tourists and transmittes them from the water to the air of venice, so that the sounds can be heard in a small area on a certain radiochannel.
